Fish for Rainbow Trout, and Brown Trout on the beautiful Cumberland River. The South's Premier River for Rainbow and Brown Trout. The Current Kentucky State Records have come from these waters.
Rainbow Trout - 14.0 Pounds State Record
Brown Trout - 21 Pounds State Record
Striped Bass as large as 55 pounds have been caught in this river.
Walleye runs in the Fall and Spring. Small numbers of these fish still roam the river waters and are frequently caught in the late fall and very early in the spring. The Third largest Walleye ever caught was caught from the waters of the Cumberland River in the Early 1950's

Chris West from Henderson, Ky. caught this German Brown Trout 30" long, 11 lbs., on the Cumberland River, March 22, 2008. He and his friends camp at Foggy Bottom campground on a regular basis--and for good reason!
